You can use
MagicBands from a previous Walt Disney World vacation for your next Walt Disney World vacation as long as they are active in your
My Disney Experience Account. According to my experience, the battery inside the MagicBand is designed to last for up to two years or more, so you can use your MagicBand for more than one Walt Disney World vacation. I have used MagicBands from my previous vacations that were older than two years old, and they worked just fine (based on my experience). There is no way that I know of to check the battery on a MagicBand at your home. I recommend bringing your MagicBand on your Walt Disney World vacation and seeing if it works for park entry. If your MagicBand battery is depleted, you can purchase a new MagicBand at many Walt Disney World stores in the parks, resorts, and Disney Springs on your Walt Disney World vacation. Also, you may want to purchase the new MagicBand+, which has some exciting new features, including customizable color-changing lights, haptic vibrations that bring experiences to life, and gesture recognition. You can also purchase a
MagicBand+ through shopDisney and have it shipped to your house before your Walt Disney World vacation begins.
