So, let’s chat MagicBands! You’ll be happy to know that
MagicBands are not required at Disney World—but they sure are convenient. If you decide not to use a MagicBand, you still have great options. One is Disney
MagicMobile on the
My Disney Experience app, which lets you tap into the parks and access Resort hotel features right from your phone. The other is the
Key to the World card, which works pretty much the same way as a MagicBand. You can pick one up at your Disney Resort front desk or at Guest Relations near the park entrances.
That said, I personally love the convenience of MagicBands. You don’t have to dig around for your phone or card when entering the parks, opening your Disney Resort hotel room, or making purchases. Plus, some MagicBands even light up or interact with certain attractions and nighttime spectaculars. My girls get such a kick out of theirs sparkling during Journey Into Imagination with Figment! It’s that little extra sprinkle of pixie dust that makes it so special.
