Can we use Our Magic Bands to purchase food at the temporary booths set up in Epcot during the Food And Wine Festival

    Hi Alexander,

Absolutely! Each marketplace during the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival is equipped with a reader that will accept multiple forms of payment, including MagicBands linked to your resort room. I love the convenience of paying for purchases throughout the Walt Disney World resort with the tap of my MagicBand.

I will caution that it is easy to get carried away with all the awesome tastes and sips of the festival and spent more than you had planned. Because we have done that on several occasions, we now decide in advance how much we want to spend at the Global Marketplaces and put that amount on one of the special gift cards that are available for the festival. Paying for tastes with the gift card, which is attached to a flexible bracelet, keeps us on budget. It also is a few seconds faster each time because it does not require a PIN like the MagicBand.

Either way, Alexander, you are in for a taste treat. I always like to look at the menus in advance so that I know which samples are on my must list. It's easy to fill up fast before you get around to every booth.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you as you plan your fall Walt Disney World vacation. Enjoy!
