Can magic bands you previously used be used when staying off property on our next trip

Hello Ann, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a great question.

MagicBands are an amazing piece of wearable technology. They make planning a vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort a lot easier. Even for a guest staying off-site, you can still use them to access your theme park tickets, redeem FastPass+ selections and even add pictures to your Memory Maker account. However, non-resort guests will not be able to charge food or merchandise back to your room account.

You can use any MagicBand that are still listed as active on your MagicBands and Cards tab in My Disney Experience. Keep in mind that the battery in a MagicBand is good for approximately 2 years. If any of your MagicBands are older than this, they may not be operational and My Disney Experience has no way to monitor battery life. There is no limit to the number of active MagicBands you can have linked to your account. If your previously owned MagicBands are older than that, you can purchase them online or with the Shop Disney Parks Mobile app. If you need any more help before you arrive, please come back and visit us again.

    See ya real soon,
