We Have Magic Bands from previous trips. Is it possible to use these Bands on an upcoming trip instead of getting new ones? We have a split stay so does that mean we need different Magic Bands for each resort?

    Hi Barbara,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question! I now have more MagicBands than I care to count from all of my family’s visits to Walt Disney World Resort, as well as more than a few “character” MagicBands.

If you don’t want to receive new MagicBands for your upcoming stay, all you have to do is click on “Decline MagicBands” when you go to customize the ones that would be issued to you for your upcoming stay. If your My Disney Experience account has active MagicBands associated with each of the Guests in your party’s upcoming stay, you’ll be able to decline them all (or just those for the Guests that don’t want them).

Because you’ll have a split stay (something that we do often during our visits to Walt Disney World Resort), you’ll have two potential sets of MagicBands that will get issued to you. You’ll have to follow the procedure described above in order to decline them both, should you choose to do so.

For what it’s worth, I still customize my family’s MagicBands for every visit and very rarely decline them. They’re great souvenirs from each of our trips… even if I’m starting to have way too many of them in my family’s “Disney Drawer”!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
