Jennifer from WI Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

We have our Magic Bands from a previous trip and tried linking some older, plastic, tickets to our account for an upcoming trip. They were purchased in 2013 and they are showing as linked and active yet not showing available to set up fast passes, etc.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jennifer!

That's great news that you still have your MagicBands from a previous visit! Did you know you can use these again for future visits? As long as their battery is still good, and all your updated tickets are linked in your My Disney Experience account, your MagicBands should work! MagicBand batteries are said to last up to two years, but I own a few that are older than that and are still going strong! If you choose to bring those older MB's with you, do bring your card tickets as a backup just in case.

Although your old tickets are showing as linked and your MagicBands as active, chances are your tickets might be expired. In order to book your FastPass+, you must have active tickets linked to your account. If you're unsure about the current status of your tickets or you think there is a mistake with their expiration, be sure to call in to Disney's Ticket Help line at (407) 939-7523 where a friendly Cast Member can pull up your account and ticket information and give you more details.

Jennifer, once you get your tickets sorted out, make sure you start booking your FastPass+ as early as possible! If you're staying on property at one of the magnificent Walt Disney World Resort Hotels, you can start booking your FastPass+ up to 60-days in advance. If you're staying off property, your booking window will open 30-days before your arrival.

Thanks again for stopping by. See ya real soon!
