Hello, We have magic bands from a previous travel in 2014. We will be at Orlando next January, but not in a Disney Resort this time. Is it possible to re-use the same magic bands? How can I know if they are working properly (battery)? Thanks!

    Hello, Ana Paula!

How exciting you will soon be returning to Walt Disney World Resort! You are absolutely welcome to reuse a MagicBand from a previous trip, providing it is still active in your My Disney Experience account. MagicBands are designed with a small battery that typically lasts about two years; however, there is no way to check if it is still in working order until you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort. Since your last visit, many new graphic designs are available for purchase as well as customizable retail MagicBands. I know I have my eye on buying a few for my upcoming trip!

I hope this helps! Please let us know if you have additional questions!
