    Hi, I have magic bands from a previous Disney trip under my MDE account. My in-laws are treating us to a Disney trip in a few weeks & purchased park passes under their own MDE account. Can I put our old magic bands onto the tickets on their account?

    Hello Felicia, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a great planning question.

    I am so happy to hear that your in-laws are planning to include you on a magical family journey. I love collecting MagicBands from my previous trips to the Walt Disney World Resort. In fact, I usually take all of my limited edition MagicBands and at least one of every color with me on every trip. You can easily use your MagicBands from a previous trip too.

    Hopefully, your in-laws are connected on your “My Family and Friends List” in My Disney Experience. If they are not on your list, you will need to send them an invitation to connect with you. Once you are connected, they can assign the theme park tickets they have purchased to you. Any tickets linked to your My Disney Experience account can be accessed by any MagicBand listed as active in your account. If your in-laws have already created an account for you and linked tickets to the plans they manage for you in that account, they can easily reassign the theme park tickets to the account you manage yourself, once you are connected in “My Family and Friends.” The tickets will be visible in the “Reservations and Tickets” tab. Your in-laws can also update the Resort Hotel reservation with you information as well, allowing your MagicBand to unlock the door to your hotel room.
