    Do you have to have magic bands or can you use your phone? Will it be difficult without bands ?

    Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!

    No, you do not have to use a MagicBand at Walt Disney World, if you do not want to. So many of the actions that the MagicBand+ will let you do are ones that can also be done with your smartphone and the My Disney Experience App, including opening your Disney resort hotel room, entering the parks, and using Lightning Lanes. This is all loaded into the Wallet App on your phone.

    There are a few things you cannot do, but I would describe them as extras. Activities like the Batuu Bounty Hunters quest. It is a lot of fun, but if you are OK passing on that and some of the other extras, you are good to go with just your phone!

    BONUS TIP
    Getting all your reservation numbers into your My Disney Experience account prior to travel is a smart idea. Whether it is adding your park tickets, your room reservation, or other activities, having them there, and therefore synchronized over to your phone, will make your vacation seamless!
