I have magic bands but I am not staying in a Disney resort hotel. Is it possible to link my Disney credit card to my magic band so I can pay for things in the park without staying in a hotel?

Hi there Darian! Thanks for visiting with us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Guests who are not staying at a Walt Disney World won't be able to use their MagicBand to make charges while on property. To have spending privilege on your MagicBand, your My Disney Experience account must be linked to a resort reservation to be billed. Maybe one day, this will be a feature that Mickey and his pals will add for guests who are staying off property.

Other payment options are available such as cash, credit and debit cards, and Disney gift cards. My family often uses Disney gift cards to purchase items while we are in the parks. Also, when purchasing food, we use mobile ordering, which charges the card linked to our My Disney Experience account. This allows us not to have to keep up with multiple cards.

Darian, have a wonderful time at Walt Disney World. If you have more questions about your upcoming off property trip, please stop by and visit with us again soon!

    Happy planning,
