Our magic bands+ have been “linked” to my Disney account. Do my teens need to “pair” theirs respective bands with their respective phones?

Welcome to planDisney, April! Thanks so much for swinging by with your question today. MagicBand+ is one of my favorite tech tools to make my vacation run as smoothly as possible. I love being able to enter the Theme Parks, make purchases, and open my Resort Hotel room door with just the tap of my wrist, and I wish I had something that could do all of that for me at home!

To get the basic functionality of the MagicBand+, your teens do not need to pair them to their respective phones. If they're interested in some of the more interactive features, like playing Batuu Bounty Hunters in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, then they would need to each have their own individual Play Disney Parks app with the MagicBand+ paired to their phone. Keep in mind that a MagicBand+ can only be paired to one phone at a time, so you will need to unpair them from your own phone before your teens can connect them to theirs.

I hope this answers your question, April, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
