Magic bands...Can my kids bands be set for No spending or for a limited amount each day? Also are the bands GPS set up in case my kids get separated from us?

    Dear Jayna,

Thank you for stopping by to visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question about planning ahead for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

MagicBands are an awesome addition to a Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and they enable teens to have some independence while on vacation, with the ability to get in and out of your Walt Disney World Resort hotel room and to use for their FastPass+ selections, for example.

Yes, we always set our children's MagicBands to not be able to make purchases, and they can only make purchased when they are with us. There is not a way to set a spending limit other than blocking it totally, but things change all of the time so please do check back to ask again.

MagicBands are not set up with GPS for lost children, but in the event that your child is separated from you, a friendly Cast Member can scan their MagicBand and retrieve your phone number and information so that you can be quickly reunited!

Hope that helps with your magical planning!
