Are magic bands included in a disney resort reservation? Can a separate credit card be linked to another person in the reservation party?

Hi Cecelia and welcome to planDisney!

MagicBands are such a great way to add a little convenience to your Walt Disney World vacation.  You can use them to enter the theme parks, enter Lightning Lane attraction queues, open your Disney Resort hotel room door and pay for merchandise and Disney dining.  There is no need to dig around in your bag for various cards when you have the magic right on your wrist.

MagicBands are no longer complimentary for Disney Resort hotel Guests, but you can purchase them at a pre-arrival discount.  To begin customizing your MagicBands, hover over the "My Disney Experience" tab at the top right of the Walt Disney World website and then click on "My MagicBands and Cards".  Your upcoming resort stay will be at the top of that page.  Since your vacation is coming up in less than a month, I suggest ordering them soon so they have enough time to ship to you.

You can certainly link separate credit cards to each Guest in your room.  I go on trips with my girlfriends a lot and we each link our own credit cards so we are only responsible for ourselves.  You can do this with a friendly Cast Member at the front desk of your hotel at any time.

Please stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.

    Have a magical day!
