How do I get Magic Bands for my family visit to Disneyland for this July (staying at Grand Californian)

    Hi Fellow Texan, Patty!

Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney! We're so excited that you're hEAR, and thank you for sending this Disneyland Resort vacation planning question to us!

It sounds like you might be familiar with MagicBands at Walt Disney World Resort. I love how convenient these colorful bands make my trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth! The last anyone has hEARd, all we know is that Disneyland Resort is getting MagicBand+ at some point this yEAR. We don't if they're going to be the exact same - like where you can charge items to the credit card on file at your Disneyland Resort Hotel or use them to scan into Lightning Lanes - or if the system and their usage is going to be completely different.

One thing that I don't have confirmation on but am basing on Walt Disney World Resort is that MagicBands are no longer included with stays at Walt Disney World Resorts Collection Hotels. Instead, Disney Hotel Guests now have access to a handful of band designs that can be purchased at a discount in advance of their visit to Mickey's East Coast house vs. what they would cost on ShopDisney.com or in the parks. I have a pretty good feeling this will be the same at Disneyland, but I don't have any guarantees. Your best bet to hEAR more about this news is to check in with the Disney Parks Blog; follow them across all of their social media channels so you'll never miss a story!

I know that you're going to have the best time at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Patty. The hotel is beautiful, the pool is dreamy, and fingers crossed you have a great Fireworks, Theme Park, or Monorail view!
