Will the Magic bands our family use for this vacation (2015) be able to be used again in future vacations?

Hello Rhonda and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

All MagicBands have a small internal battery inside of them. The battery's expected life is approximately two years. The battery is unable to be replaced, therefore, once the battery is drained the MagicBand would no longer function. My family used one year old MagicBands this past May and they worked just great! As long as you are returning within the next two years your MagicBands should work just fine.

Wishing you and your family a magical vacation, Rhonda! Please visit us again if we can be of any more help.

Meet the Panelist: Rachel, Wisconsin

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
