Can we use magic bands with ESPN varsity package

Hello Patricia, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by to chat about your upcoming trip. I'm happy to settle the score about all things related to MagicBands.

Whether or not your travel package includes a stay at a hotel in the Disney Resorts Collection or an offsite locale, MagicBands can enhance your visit. If you'll be staying at an onsite Disney Resort Hotel, I recommend purchasing discounted MagicBands through My Disney Experience; these can be used to unlock your resort room door, charge purchases, and redeem theme park admission. There are some really cute designs available, and my family had a ton of fun selecting our favorites for our next vacation. You'll find MagicBands featuring everything from Mickey-shaped snacks to Disney Princesses. If you have MagicBands from a previous stay, you can use those too. Just make sure they are still marked "Active" in My Disney Experience.

If you will be staying at an offsite resort, Walt Disney World Good Neighbor Hotel, or Disney Springs Resort Area Hotel, you can still purchase a MagicBand and use it to redeem theme park admission and link Disney PhotoPass images. Visit shopDisney before leaving home or a merchandise location upon arrival in Walt Disney World to choose a MagicBand. Don't forget to link it to your My Disney Experience account.

I hope this is helpful, Patricia. If we can spot you on anything else before you travel, please come by again. Best of luck to your athletes as they prepare to compete, and we'll see ya real soon!

Meet the Panelist: Betsy, Maryland

Greetings! I'm Betsy, a middle school teacher, wife, and mom of two. My family and I love to travel the world, but our best memories are those made when we're visiting Walt Disney World or Disneyland Resort. No matter how many times we visit, there is always something new to see, ride, or eat at the Disney Parks. Learn More About Betsy
