Bonjour!
Hi Patrick, a big welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by today to talk about your upcoming trip to
Disneyland Paris. I have been lucky enough to visit all of the Disney Parks around the world, and one of the things I love most is discovering all of the little differences across such familiar places. One thing that is never different though, the magic is always there!
Leave your
MagicBand at home, Patrick, it will not do anything at Disneyland Paris other than look good, of course! There are quite a few little differences from what you may be used to at the US Disney Parks.
You will not find Lightning Lanes, but you will find
Disney Premier Access, which gives you access to the Fast Lane. For eligible attractions, you can purchase Disney Premier Access One through the
Disneyland Paris app, where you will receive a return time to bypass the standby queue. You can also purchase Disney Premier Access Ultimate, which gives you one-time Fast Lane access to the most popular attractions across both
Disneyland Park and
Disney Adventure World in one day, with no need to choose return times.
Dining reservations work a little differently, too. Guests who have booked a Hotel + Ticket Package can begin making dining reservations as soon as they have linked their booking to their Disneyland Paris app account. There are lots of brilliant restaurants to choose from, but two of the most popular are Downtown Restaurant at Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel and Bistrot Chez Rémy over at Disney Adventure World, so booking early is always a great advantage.
One more big difference has to be the attractions themselves. Some of the Disney Parks classics, like Big Thunder Mountain and
Hyperspace Mountain, are completely different from what you may know from home. Prepare to hurtle through underground caves on Big Thunder Mountain, and experience multiple high-speed inversions on Hyperspace Mountain!
I hope this helps, Patrick, happy planning! If you have any other questions, please
reach out to me. I'd love to help!
See you on Main Street, Paris!
Matt
