Hey there, Christina!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I can't wait for you to discover the charm of the original Magic Kingdom at the Disneyland Resort in California. While you will see some familiar sights from the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, you will also see some completely unique lands and attractions you can only find here.
MagicBands are a fantastic and fun way to store your payment information, room key, and park tickets at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Disneyland Resort does not use MagicBand technology, but they still have some really great digital ways to stay connected during your trip. First you will need to download the official
Disneyland app before your vacation. This will be your one-stop-shop for all things Disneyland Resort. You can view park maps, attraction wait times, your PhotoPass pictures, Character meeting locations, make dining reservations, and so much more. You can also now use the app to mobile order food and beverages at select Quick Service restaurants in both parks which has been a huge time-saver for my family.
By far the most popular new feature of the Disneyland app is
Disney MaxPass. Once you link your tickets to the app, you can use your mobile device as a digital ticket to make FASTPASS selections right at your fingertips. Just show your digital ticket in the app when you approach attractions during your FASTPASS return time and when you enter the park gates. I still recommend keeping your paper ticket on you just in case, but many trips I have been able to exclusively use my phone as my ticket.
I hope this helps, and please return if you have any other questions. Have a Fantasmic day!
