We have Magic Bands + from Disney World. We are going to DisneyLand this summer. How do i activate our Magic Bands + from Disney World at Disney Land?

    Hello there, Natalia!

Welcome to planDisney, I'm so glad you're here! I'm especially excited to hear that you're venturing out to the Disneyland much as I love Walt Disney World Resort, nothing beats the original magic of Disneyland Park!

I'm happy to confirm that MagicBand+ works at Disney parks from coast to coast! To get ready for your Disneyland Resort visit you just need to do a few things.

    1. Make sure your bands are charged up so you can pair them easily. Don't forget to pack those chargers for your trip, too!
    2. Download the Disneyland Mobile App to your mobile device.
    3. Before you try to pair your bands, make sure that the My Disney Experience App you used at Walt Disney World is totally closed on your phone. Your bands will get confused if there's too much pixie dust flying around at once! If you've already downloaded your photos from your last trip then it might be easiest to remove the My Disney Experience App to avoid confusion.
    4. Open up the Disneyland Mobile App and tap the "☰" icon to open the menu, then tap the "MagicBand+" button.
    5. In the MagicBand+ menu tap the "+" icon at the top right to add a new MagicBand+ to your app. Tap the "Open Scanner to Link" button and follow the instructions to use your mobile device to scan your band.
From there the process should be very similar to using the bands at Walt Disney World Resort! If you have any trouble, don't stress. The Cast Members at the parks would be happy to help you!

MagicBand+ is the easiest way to enter the parks, tap in at Lightning Lanes, and collect photos from Disney PhotoPass Photographers. I love using mine! Did you know you can customize the light colors on your band? In the MagicBand+ menu on the app just tap on the band and scroll down to see "Light Up Theme" to pick your favorite color!

There are also some special MagicBand+ features just for the Disney100 Celebration! Keep your eyes open at the parks and hotels for the Disney100 decorations so you can be part of the magic. My personal favorite band interaction is as you leave the Haunted Mansion...if you're especially in tune you might notice your Ghost Host sending you a farewell message!

Will this be your first visit to the Disneyland Resort, Natalia? If so, make sure you don't miss the attractions that you won't find at any other Disney parks! My "must-do" list always includes:

Those are just a few of my favorites! If you have more questions as you prepare for your visit please send me a note here and I'll get back to you as quickly as I can! Wishing you all the best for your visit, Natalia!

    Keep moving forward!
