Do Magic Bands carry my park reservations info on them along with my park tickets or do I need to bring my phone with me to show I have a reservation?

Hi there, Toni! Welcome back to planDisney! Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out once more and ask your Walt Disney World Resort vacation question!

MagicBands are nifty wristbands that allow you to access just about every aspect of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation plans! These all-in-one devices are waterproof and are available in a variety of unique designs ranging from classic attractions to beloved Disney characters. MagicBands work by being quickly and easily tapped to sensors called touch points. By tapping your MagicBand to a touch point, you can do such things as unlock the door to your Disney Resort hotel room, enter theme parks or water parks, check into your FastPass+ experiences, connect Disney PhotoPass images to your account, and charge food and merchandise purchases to your Disney Resort hotel room. That’s a long list for such a small wristband!

Prior to entering a theme park, Guests will need to reserve a park reservation via the Disney Park Pass system. Once you have linked your theme park tickets to your My Disney Experience account, you can then reserve your entry to whichever theme park you plan on visiting each day of your vacation. Guests with Park Hopper tickets will be able to visit more than one park per day after 2:00 pm as well!

The key to managing all of your adventurous plans is your My Disney Experience account! As long as you have your MagicBands linked with your My Disney Experience account, you will be able to utilize all of the previously described features. If you haven’t already done so, I also highly recommend downloading the My Disney Experience app onto your smartphone! This will allow you to access all of your plans from anywhere right from the comfort of your phone. This incredibly helpful if you need to change your plans or utilize specific features of the My Disney Experience app while visiting the parks!

I hope this information helps you as you continue to plan for your visit to Walt Disney World Resort this September! Please reach back out if we can answer any other questions for you!
