I prefer using a MagicBand on my Walt Disney World vacations because as long as you put it on your wrist in the morning when you start your Disney day, you can easily use it all day long. The
My Disney Experience Mobile App also works to get into a theme park instead of a MagicBand, but I prefer the physical MagicBand. If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, you can pre-order MagicBands at a discounted price and have them shipped to your home before your vacation as long as it is two weeks before your vacation (if it is less time, then they will be sent to your Walt Disney World Resort)
You can also purchase a new MagicBand at many Walt Disney World stores in the parks, resorts, and Disney Springs when you get to Walt Disney World. If you wish to purchase MagicBands before your Walt Disney World vacation, you can find a great selection of
MagicBands at shopDisney. I have purchased a few MagicBands from shopDisney, and I love the MagicBand designs. The MagicBands can be shipped directly to your home before your vacation if you buy them from shopDisney. Once you receive your MagicBands from shopDisney, you need to link them to your My Disney Experience Account. The code to link any MagicBand to your My Disney Experience Account is typically located on the underside of the MagicBand. It generally is a twelve-digit number and letter combination in the format of XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. You can link your MagicBand in your My Disney Experience Account under My Plans by navigating to the Let's Link Your Reservations and Purchases webpage and selecting the MagicBands box. Then you input the code on the back of your MagicBand to link it to your My Disney Experience Account. Once your MagicBand is linked, you should see it in your My Disney Experience Account.
