Welcome back to planDisney, Charmion! I have a love of all things MagicBands, so I jumped at the chance to answer your question. As Anna says in
Frozen, “We’re going to do this together.”
Currently, MagicBand batteries cannot be replaced. However, the latest iteration of these nifty little accessories,
MagicBand+, can be recharged. I charge mine up each night before going to the parks, and then I’m ready to feel them vibrate and see them light up during certain attractions and
nighttime spectaculars. Can you hear Anna saying, “This is so nice”?
I see that you’re going to visit the
Walt Disney World Resort in September, and that’s a great time to visit! Not only will the resort likely be in full Halloween mode, but the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival is typically in full swing by that time. While details haven’t been announced yet, follow along with the
Disney Parks Blog so you’ll be the first to know when they are.
And let’s not forget that a few new experiences should be open by the time you arrive at the Most Magical Place on Earth.
Frozen Ever After reopens in February with
brand-new animatronics,
Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets is slated to open in the summer, and
the Mandalorian and Grogu are set to join Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, just to name a few. Since opening timelines can change, be sure to keep checking that helpful blog to see what will be available during your visit. My fingers are crossed that
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will have reopened for you after its lengthy refurbishment. I know those
Rainbow Caverns are calling my name, and they’re probably calling yours, too. Elsa would say, “I’m ready,” and I think you and I are, too, when it comes to these new experiences!
Charmion, enjoy the planning leading up to your magical vacation, and
please reach out again if you have any other questions! After all, Anna likes
the open gates, and we here at planDisney do, too!
Warmest wishes from Arendelle,
Matt
