Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Pamela!
I love, love, love the feeling of taking out our MagicBands and snapping mine on to my wrist for the first time – that's when our Walt Disney World Resort vacation really begins!
At any given time, I have several active MagicBands; in fact, I usually bring a couple of them with me on each trip so I can match my MagicBand to my outfit. It's generally not a problem, although I recently had trouble getting my MagicBand to open my resort room, and a Cast Member shared that it's a common problem for people with "many" (don't ask how many!) active MagicBands.
If you'd like to deactivate the old ones, it's just a few easy clicks. Log in to your
My Disney Experience account, and then select "My MagicBands and Cards." On that screen, you'll see all the MagicBands linked to your account (as well as MagicBands linked to any other accounts you manage, such as your kids' accounts). Simply click on the one you'd like to deactivate and choose the button for "Inactive."
Once you've purchased your new MagicBands, you'll head back to that same page, scroll to the bottom, and use the "Link" button to connect the new MagicBands. Also, remember that if you'll be staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, MagicBands are included as one of the many
benefits of being a resort Guest.
ShopDisney sells a
great selection of MagicBands, and I hope you have a great time picking out the perfect ones for each member of your party. Happy shopping, and please come back and see us if you have any more questions as you plan and dream.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
