MagicBands are such a wonderful accessory to use when at the
Walt Disney World Resort. They really do unlock the magic! You can use them to unlock your
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, tap into the parks, charge merchandise and food (it's all about the food for me) back to the room, and if you purchase a
MagicBand+, it will even interact with the
nighttime spectaculars and some of the rides! For me, a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is not the same without it.
If you would like to purchase a MagicBand or MagicBand+, there are many ways to do so. My favorite way is if you are staying at Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, you can order one ahead of your vacation for a discounted price. Once you've logged in to your
My Disney Experience account on a computer, select "My MagicBands and Cards" from the "My Disney Experience" menu. On this page, you will see the option to select MagicBands for you and your travel party. Simply click on the blue "Get Started" button and follow the prompts to select your MagicBands. Please note that this must be done 11 or more days before your arrival date if you'd like them mailed to your home or between 6 to 10 days for them to be sent to the front desk of your hotel. Also, it's important to keep in mind that if one or more members of your party do not want a MagicBand, you must decline them, otherwise the order will not ship. I learned that the hard way!
You can also purchase a MagicBand when you arrive at the resort at many of the
merchandise locations. Plus, you can purchase them through
shopDisney as well. There are so many choices in so many different designs. You are bound to pick one (or more) that perfectly matches you!
