My magic band is about 2 years old. I charged it up for two days. When I turn it on it flashed blue, then flashed red, then turns off. It doesn't connect to phone anymore. Do I need to change a battery?

Hey there, hi there, Rory! Welcome to planDisney where we love helping Guests get the answers to all your planning questions.

As someone who has been able to enjoy MagicBand+ at Walt Disney World for a few visits, I was so excited when MagicBand+ technology came to Disneyland Resort just last fall. I Iove being able to use it to enter the parks and go through Lightning Lanes with ease! I am sorry to hear that you are having issues with your MagicBand+ keeping a charge. I wouldn't think that the battery is already bad and unfortunately, you cannot change out the battery in these. I am sure you are doing the correct steps to try to charge and connect your device to your phone, but just to double-check everything you can look at the Set Up page for MagicBand+. If you still are having issues, you may want to connect with a Cast Member at Guest Services as they will have further instructions and information for this than what I can assist you with.

I do want to make sure you know that if your MagicBand+ battery is depleted or not able to charge, it will still be able to function for things like park entry, Lightning Lane entry, PhotoPass Photo interactions, and more.

Rory, I am so sorry for your MagicBand+ troubles. I hope you can get them resolved! See you real soon.
