Welcome back to planDisney, Elizabeth!
You are just a few sleeps away from the Most Magical holiday. Soon, you’ll use your
Disney band (also known as a MagicBand in the United States) to enter the theme parks, tap into Lightning Lanes, connect purchases to your Disney Resorts Collection hotel folio, and scan for Disney PhotoPass photos.
First things first, it’s great that your Disney band is still activated in your
My Disney Experience App. That’s one less step to check off before your great adventure. Now, there’s really no way to know if your older Disney band works until you’ve arrived at Walt Disney World Resort. It is said to have a battery life of 2-3 years and your Disney band is a bit older than that. But let me tell you, I have a few bands that still work after 6 or more years of use. I rotate them out, so maybe their longevity is because I’m not using the same one each visit. Regardless, many of these “dinosaurs” can be used for quite some time.
AN EXTRA GEM: In the event that your Disney band doesn’t work, there are many spots around property to purchase a new one (most likely of the MagicBand+ variety). From the theme parks to Disney Springs and even at a shop at your Disney Resorts Collection hotel. You can also use a physical theme park ticket or save a digital ticket to your cellphone or Apple Watch using Disney
MagicMobile Service.
I’m wishing on a star that your Disney band still has some life in it, Elizabeth. If you have additional questions about your upcoming holiday,
give us a holler here at planDisney.
Magic always,
LeAndra
