I have a Magic Band from 2018 WDW trip, and was wondering if I am able to use that again for my September 2019 trip? Is there a way to know if the battery is still good?

    Hi Jaime!

I'm happy to hear that you are planning your next visit to Walt Disney World Resort! There are so many new and exciting things that are heading to the theme parks, Disney Resort hotels and Disney Springs that you will be able to enjoy during your trip. Be sure to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog as you continue planning your vacation so you can get the latest news and updates about things you will be able to enjoy when you visit!

MagicBands are a fantastic addition to a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. It's so nice to have access to your theme park tickets, FastPass+ reservations and Memory Maker account with just the touch of your MagicBand! I have quite a collection of MagicBands from previous trips and I have found that MagicBands have a good battery life to allow me to use them on future vacations. In my experience, I have found that our MagicBands do work for vacations a year apart. If you have any issues using your MagicBands during your vacation, head to Guest Relations and they can help you troubleshoot them and determine if their batteries are still functional.

Keep in mind that you will need to link your theme park tickets to your My Disney Experience account, along with your MagicBands, in order for them to work together. Be sure to download the My Disney Experience mobile app because it's the easiest way to manage your MagicBands and all of your vacation plans during your visit!

Come back to see us if we can help you again as you finalize your plans. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
