What is the Magic Band and how is it used?

    Hello Susette,

MagicBands are an integral part of having Disney Vacation Planning Magic at Your Fingertips. My family and I absolutely LOVE these colorful waterproof wristbands as they make our theme park planning absolutely seamless. Using touch point technology, MagicBands allow you to: effortlessly access your Disney Resort hotel room, enter Disney theme parks and water parks (with valid admission), retrieve advanced dining reservations, access your FastPass+ selections, connect to your Disney Memory Maker and unlock some truly magical surprises, personalized just for you!

If you stay at a Disney Resort hotel, you will automatically receive MagicBands for all the members of your travel party. Customizing your MagicBands is super easy too; simply log into your My Disney Experience account to personalize your MagicBands. They will be shipped to your home provided customization took place at least 10 days before your arrival date.

MagicBands can also be purchased ahead of time from the Disney Store online or via the Shop Disney Parks app. If you opt to wait until arriving on-property, use the app to locate favorite MagicBands designs. Alternatively, visit one of the MagicBand on Demand stations – at select merchandise locations – to create and personalize your MagicBands.

Wishing you a most memorable visit to the place where The Magic is Endless!
