Hi Karen! Welcome to planDisney. Thank you for stopping by with your question. One of the many things I love about a Walt Disney World vacation is how seamlessly the magic is brought to life! From the My Disney Experience app to MagicMobile and even MagicBands, Disney offers multiple innovative and interactive ways to access the magic! While Disney notes that the batteries in MagicBands are expected to last about 1-2 years, I’m still happily using a few of mine that have exceeded this life expectancy. Unfortunately, there’s no way to know when a MagicBand’s battery might stop working, and since the batteries cannot be replaced, Hakuna Matata, I have some options for you that I touched on above:
If you’re ready to upgrade to MagicBand+, you’re in for a real treat. These bands give you all the functionality of a standard MagicBand and light up and vibrate during select experiences. My personal favorites include the Adventureland MagicBand+, which features iconic Disney rides and snacks, the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure MagicBand+, and just last weekend I saw a new design which lights up like a miniature Happily Ever After fireworks show on your wrist! You can find these dazzling designs online at Disney Store, in the My Disney Experience app, or at select retail locations throughout Walt Disney World Resort, such as Disney's Pin Traders in Disney Springs or Pin Traders - Camera Center in EPCOT. I hope this helps you feel ready for your upcoming visit to the Most Magical Place On Earth, Karen! If you have any other questions as you plan your visit, please don’t hesitate to swing by planDisney again. See you real soon!Brent
