How do I get my magic band / tickets if I’m staying off property? Thank you

    Hi Amy,

Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by to bring us your question. I hope you are getting so excited about all the magic you’re about to experience during your visit to the most magical place on earth! I hope it’s a core memory kind of trip filled with pixie-dusted moments and core memories!

Amy, the easiest way to purchase tickets is directly on the Walt Disney World Resort website. From there, you will see all the options to choose from, like if you want to add park hopper or do one park per day, and choose the days you will be using your tickets. If you haven’t done so already, be sure to create a My Disney Experience account so you can link your tickets there. I also recommend downloading the My Disney Experience app, which will be your digital planner for your visit. You’ll be able to see all your information, like your tickets, dining reservations, Lightning Lane Passes, PhotoPass photos, and more, all in one spot! And it has so much info to help you navigate the parks.

Once your theme park tickets are linked directly to your My Disney Experience account, you have a few easy ways to enter the parks.

For that extra Disney touch, you can purchase a MagicBand or MagicBand+ either before your trip or once you arrive. After linking it to your My Disney Experience account, it works seamlessly for park entry, linking PhotoPass photos, and more. You can get one before you arrive by shopping online at the Disney Store. Or, once you arrive, they are sold at many park shops and at Disney Springs, at World of Disney, or the Marketplace Co-Op.

Another convenient option you can use if you happen to reach the parks before you can get your hands on one of those magical wearable cuties is by setting up Disney MagicMobile, which lets you create a digital pass on your smartphone or Apple Watch and tap in at the entrance just like a MagicBand. It’s quick, easy, and perfect if you prefer to keep everything on your phone. And, if you’d rather have something physical, you can stop by Guest Relations or the ticket windows when you arrive and pick up a Key to the World card to use for park entry.

So really, think of it this way. Your “ticket” lives in your account, and you get to choose how you want to access it.

Amy, you’ve got some great options depending on what feels easiest for you. Whether you go fully digital with MagicMobile or add a MagicBand for that extra bit of magic, you’ll be all set to tap right into your day.

Wishing you a smooth arrival and a trip full of magical moments from that very first tap in! If you have any other questions, we’re always happy to help, so please don’t hesitate to come by and see us!

    Pixie dust away!
