How do I make my magic band smaller?

Hey there, Donna, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I always love to chat about Disney with a fellow Floridian!

As a Florida Resident Annual Passholder and frequent visitor to Walt Disney World Resort hotels, I have so many MagicBands! For me, getting a new MagicBand signals the start of a new adventure, whether it's getting ready to explore a Resort hotel we haven't tried yet, or getting ready for a whole new year of fun after renewing our Annual Passes.

I wear my MagicBands on the same arm as I wear my watch, so I tend to keep them on the larger side, but it's easy to adjust the size if you need to. If you've found that your MagicBand is still too large for you even after securing it on the last hole, you can pop out the center to make it even smaller. When you look at your MagicBand, you'll see that it's two colors - gray and whichever color you chose for your band (pink, for example). You can sort of peel the colored part away from the gray, so you're left with two pieces. Then, you can secure the smaller, solid-colored part of your MagicBand to your wrist using the holes, just as you did before. Do note that once you've removed the gray part, it can't be reattached.

Donna, I hope this helps you get all the fun and function from your MagicBand, along with a more comfortable fit. Be sure to stop by and see us again if you have any more questions!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
