Do you have to have a magic band to redeem lightning lane

Hi Andrew. Thank you for reaching out to planDisney with your question.

You're in luck. Since the first time using Disney Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lanes, I have become obsessed with these services and won't travel to the Walt Disney World Resort without them. I love the option to make Lightning Lane reservations for a shorter wait time for so many different rides and attractions throughout the resort. These services are convenient and really allow me to maximize my time in the parks. I mean, who doesn't love skipping the long queue line for a shorter one and having more time to eat snacks? I know I do!

While I love to use my MagicBand+ to redeem my Lightning Lanes because I love to accessorize, you do not need one to do so! You can also redeem your Lightning Lane reservations using a physical card (if you have one) or the very convenient Disney MagicMobile on your phone. A physical card can be picked up outside the gates of any park or at the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs. Disney MagicMobile can easily be added to your smartphone by following the instructions in the My Disney Experience mobile app.

Andrew, I hope you have a wonderful vacation. Don't forget to snag a Boarding Group in the Virtual Queue or purchase an Individual Lightning Lane reservation for the brand-new rollercoaster TRON / Lightcycle Run in Magic Kingdom Park. At this time, it's in a soft-opening phase until April 2, 2023, and then officially opens on April 4, 2023. You will not want to miss this thrilling experience!

Please feel free to reach out again if you have any questions in the future.

    End of line,
    Matt
