If i was there in 2016 can i still use the magic band that i received and have it reactivated or do we get a new one

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Pauline, we thank you for your loyalty and excellent question!

As a Guest at a Disney Resort hotel, one of the many unique benefits you will enjoy is the presentation of a complimentary MagicBand delivered to your home since you reside in the United States of America. Once booked at your Disney Resort hotel of choice, your My Disney Experience account will present you with the option of utilizing the new, complimentary MagicBand, or deactivating it, if you wish to use a MagicBand from a past, most recent trip. You can also deactivate your old MagicBand to use the new one. The choice is yours, Pauline, just be sure to manage this option ‘MagicBands and Cards’ under the heading "My Account" in your registered My Disney Experience account.

If staying off property, you may still be able to utilize your current MagicBand from your past, most recent trip, or purchase a new one through the Disney Store or at many retail outlets at Walt Disney World Resort. Just be sure to associate your Disney Theme Park Tickets to your MagicBand by Linking Reservations and Purchases via My Disney Experience.

We hope you find this information helpful, Pauline and we would be honored to assist you with any other planning again soon!

    Best Disney Wishes!
