The Magic Band+ that I can purchase when I arrive in Anaheim from your store in Downtown Disney, is it fully charged ready to go or do I need to do this. Is it also a one off cost or do I need to pay to use it each day.

Greetings and welcome to planDisney, Fiona. We're so glad you're here and brought this wonderful question to us. Can you believe your visit to the Disneyland Resort is almost here? It won't be long until you will be walking down Main Street, U.S.A. underneath the holiday lights surrounded by festive décor.

I'm so pleased to hear that one of your first stops will be in Downtown Disney District to purchase a MagicBand+ upon your arrival. I absolutely love using mine during my visits to the park. While the MagicBand+ will be charged and pretty much ready to go after you've purchased it, I don't believe it is fully charged. I would be ready with a portable charger in case it needs a little boost. The good news is that each MagicBand+ comes with its own charging cable. Make sure not to throw the packaging away without taking out the charging cable (behind the MagicBand+) first.

You can use your MagicBand+ to scan into each of the theme parks. It's also super fun to see it interact with select attractions and nighttime spectaculars. Purchasing your MagicBand+ is a one-time cost and you do not need to pay to use it each day. You will just want to make sure that you fully charge it each night so it's ready to go for the next day. And if you ever decide to visit Walt Disney World Resort, you can use your MagicBand+ there too!

The Holidays at the Disneyland Resort just arrived and you will get to enjoy all of the festivities during your visit. Be sure to take a cruise on "it's a small world" Holiday and try as many holiday treats as you can - my favorite is the Mickey gingerbread cookie. Before you leave, take a moment to take in all of the decorations while enjoying the snow on Main Street, U.S.A.

I hope this helps as you are getting ready for your magical visit, Fiona. If there's anything else we can help with as you continue to plan, please come back to visit us. We'd love to help with your questions. Until then, here's wishing you a holly jolly visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
