Hiya, AJ!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney, and congratulations on being a MagicBand+ owner. I finally convinced my dad to upgrade his last month. He was hesitant at first but loved all the interactive features of the newer style. My Mouseketeers taught him all the cool tricks, like waving his hand in front of the gold statues around the parks. They also frantically shouted anytime their MagicBands lit up, reminding him to check his. It was both cute and hilarious to watch. The Jedi Master of planning, my dad, became the Padawan during this visit.
Unfortunately, once your MagicBand ha
s been linked to your My Disney Experience account, it cannot be
transferred to another Guest. The good news is, that you can have
multiple MagicBands linked to yourself if that is why you are looking to remove your current one. You’ll just need to manage your MagicBands and make sure the one you are looking to use is listed as ‘Active’. I tend to use my MagicBands as accessories, so I have about five options to choose from for my visits. It might be too many, but like anything Disney, I’m obsessed!
AJ, if you find that you are experiencing technical errors, I recommend giving Walt Disney World a
call. A Cast Member can help guide you and walk you through a variety of troubleshooting tricks to make sure your
My Disney Experience mobile app and MagicBand are functioning appropriately.
I hope this helps answer your question so that you can get back to preparing for this upcoming visit. That includes deciding if you want to use
Lightning Lanes, schedule dining reservations, and plan out your list of must-dos! If you get stuck and need any tips, please feel free to ask!
Have a Magical visit,
Shantel
