Using a
MagicBand+ is super convenient. Just tap your way into the theme parks, charge to your room account, and even enter your Disney Resort Hotel room!
When linking your MagicBand+, you are actually linking it to your
My Disney Experience account, not your park tickets. This is why all those "extras" are also available when using your MagicBand+. Your MagicBand+ is able to access all the information on your account, including your current
Theme Park Tickets and
Disney Resort Hotel information, as long as you linked it all during purchase.
To make sure you are all set before arriving to your Walt Disney World vacation, go to your My Disney Experience account. You should be able to see your resort reservations (if staying at a Disney Resort Hotel), as well as your Theme Park Tickets. You will also be able to see your MagicBand+ (go to MagicBands & Cards) to make sure your band is listed as "Active."
Let's go one step further to really double-triple check your account! Under the My Disney Experience tab, you will see your first name. Under that, click on "Profile" then choose "Payment Methods." Here, you will be able to update your credit card and set a PIN which will allow you to use your MagicBand+ to make purchases that will be charged to your room folio.
Whew! That was more than you asked for, but now you should be confident that your Theme Park Tickets are linked to your account, your MagicBand+ is active, and your credit card is updated with your PIN. All that is left to do is to pack your bags and head to the fun!
