My magic band is linked to another guest credit card. How do I link it to my own?

Hiya Ted - welcome to planDisney!

MagicBands are a great way for Guests who are staying at a Disney Resort to easily make charges to their Resort account. While I still always advise bringing another form of payment with you while you're enjoying the Theme Parks, a MagicBand is certainly the easiest and most convenient way to go!

Ted, if you are a registered Guest of a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, but your reservation is linked to another Guest's credit card, I suggest you visit the Front Desk of your Resort and ask a Cast Member to add an additional credit card to your account which is linked only to your MagicBand. Currently, Guests who are not staying at a Disney-owned and operated Resort are not able to use MagicBands as a method of payment.

I hope this information is helpful for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort adventures. You might also be excited to learn that the brand new MagicBand+ recently launched at Walt Disney World Resort. These new bands are rechargeable, have visual and haptic feedback, and let you become more immersed in the magic than ever before - check them out!
