Hi there, Grant, and welcome to planDisney! I'm so happy you're here with this great question about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation. You'll be arriving in just a few short days, and you must be so excited! Now is a great time to double-check essentials like MagicBands.
Grant, I promise I won't merely tell you to power your MagicBand+ off and back on, but just in case you haven't tried that, let's go through the steps! Head to this helpful
website for details on MagicBand+ troubleshooting. You might consider a factory reset if nothing is working. Press the button on your band once, then press it again and hold it for 15 seconds. Your MagicBand+ will buzz three times and then glow with rainbow colors. This means your band is restarting. The lights will turn off and flash green once the factory reset is complete.
Have you checked the
My Disney Experience Mobile App to see the status of your MagicBand+? Tap the menu button in the bottom right corner and scroll down to the Account section. Click on "MagicBands & Cards" and select the name of the MagicBand's owner. Find the correct MagicBand+ by swiping in the MagicBand+ section. You'll be able to see if it's connected to the app (keep it close by), and you'll be able to view the battery level. This is where you can see if you need to update the software or pair it to a device. You can customize the colors and adjust some of the settings as well.
Grant, if none of this solves the issue, please reach out to a helpful
Cast Member before or during your visit. In the meantime, I suggest using
Disney MagicMobile Pass - a free option that allows you to save your Disney Theme Park tickets to the wallet of your smartphone, just like you would a boarding pass or credit card.
I hope this is helpful to you! Please stop by planDisney with any other questions you have as you continue to count down to your arrival!
See ya real soon!
