Will the magic band be large enough for an 8.5 inch wrist?

    Hi Deborah!

I'm so happy to hear that you are planning on using MagicBands during your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation! MagicBands add so much convenience to your vacation because you will have access to your theme park tickets, FastPass+ reservations and Memory Maker account with just the touch of your MagicBand. Plus, if you are staying at one of the Disney Resort hotels, you will be able to use your MagicBand as your hotel room key and to charge purchases to your room account!

MagicBands fit an extremely wide variety of wrist sizes to accommodate all Guests. My husband has worn his MagicBand comfortably for multiple Walt Disney World Resort vacations and his wrist is 7.5 inches. (I measured just for you!) I also measured a new MagicBand and on its largest setting, it is 10.5 inches. So I think there is plenty of room to accommodate an 8.5-inch wrist.

If you find that your MagicBand is uncomfortable or if you would prefer to not wear it on your wrist, you should consider purchasing a MagicKeeper, which holds the MagicBand 2 Icon from your MagicBand. A MagicKeeper will allow you to clip your MagicBand 2 Icon to a lanyard, belt or bag. It's a great option for Guests who aren't interested in wearing their MagicBand on their wrist.

Be sure to download the My Disney Experience mobile app because it will allow you to manage all of your vacation reservations right from your phone! Let us know if you need additional help as your vacation approaches. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
