Hey there, Tami, and welcome to planDisney!
Like one of my favorite Pixar characters, Mr. Potato Head, sometimes our belongings just don't stay where they should. My older MagicBands used to unclip or "pop off" often; however, I haven't had any issues with my
MagicBands+ so far. Just call me "Mrs. Potato Head" because I'm switching out my flowery hat for my planDisney thinking cap to help you find a solution.
First, double-check that your MagicBand+ is not defective (i.e. missing the clasp that holds it together) and make sure that it's the proper size (if your wrist is smaller, you can remove the outer section). Once you've crossed those off as possibilities for it frequently falling off, I strongly recommend purchasing band protectors from a third-party vendor. They're little rubber sliders you can slip onto your band to keep it in place. These helped give my older MagicBand that extra security it needed. They would fit on a MagicBand+ as well, and I've seen the cutest designs online.
Although I'm not sure if it would make sense logistically, I have heard of people rubberbanding the MagicaBand and MagicBand+ as well. But if you consider going that route, I'll remind you that you can also use an Apple Watch, your mobile device's
My Disney Experience app, and a physical theme park ticket can get the jobs, like scanning into the theme parks or collecting PhotoPass photos, done as well.
Tami, I hope that you found this information helpful. And feel free to
stop by planDisney again if you have any other Disney vacation planning questions.
Magic always,
LeAndra
