    Must the Magic Band+ have a full charge before it will link?

     Welcome back to planDisney, Karan. We're just delighted to see you again! It looks like you'll be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in only a few short days. Wahoo!

     To answer your question, no, your new MagicBand+ does not need to have a full charge in order to link it to your My Disney Experience mobile app. Once you have the MagicBand+ linked to your account and assigned to the correct Guest, then you can begin to pair it to your smartphone. When I purchased my MagicBand+ a few months ago, it was only charged at about 50%. I was able to link it to my account and pair it to my iPhone with no problem. I was able to use it for a full day in the theme parks then before I needed to charge it! 

     When you pair your MagicBand to your smartphone, I encourage you to check out the customization options. You can change the color theme that you'd like your band to light up with and adjust settings like motion recognition and vibration!
