Heya, hiya, Shirley! Welcome to planDisney! Your countdown must be flying by like a magic carpet, especially with your trip less than a month away—how exciting! I'm happy to help you get ready for your family's adventure.
It's a fantastic idea to consider using
MagicBand+ for your visit. I love the extra enchantment that these bands unlock at the Disneyland Resort! However, it's important to know that a single MagicBand+ can only be linked to one Disneyland ticket or pass at a time. This means that for your family of four, if you all want to use a MagicBand+ in the parks, each person will need their own.
That said, you can easily assign a different ticket or pass to your MagicBand+ at any time in the app. This is a great feature if your family members happen to be visiting the parks separately and you'd like to share the MagicBand+. To do this, simply open the
Disneyland mobile app, tap the menu (☰) button at the bottom right, and select "MagicBand+." If your device is already paired with the app, tap its photo on this screen. From there, you'll find an "Assign" button, which will allow you to assign your MagicBand+ to any other eligible park tickets or passes that are linked to your
MyDisney account.
Here’s a quick tip for a practically perfect visit, Shirley: Don’t forget to fully charge your MagicBand+ before you head into the parks! Unlike earlier versions of MagicBand, MagicBand+ lights up and interacts with
nighttime spectaculars and select
attractions—features that need battery power to bring the magic to life. I also recommend wearing it snugly on your wrist to ensure it connects properly with touchpoints throughout the day.
Once you're in the parks, your MagicBand+ makes entering through the gates, redeeming
Lightning Lane selections, and even linking your
Disney PhotoPass memories a breeze. It's a small accessory that adds a big boost of convenience and magic!
And speaking of magic, Shirley, it’s a great time to power up your MagicBand+ and experience the
Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration! There are brand-new interactions to discover, including a
limited-time quest inspired by some of Disneyland Park's original attractions. You'll find these magical touchpoints in places like
Main Street, U.S.A.,
Fantasyland, and
Adventureland in Disneyland Park. They're a super fun way to add a little extra interactive magic to your day!
I hope this helps your family finalize your plans for a truly magical visit, Shirley! The last few weeks leading up to a trip are the most exciting. We'll be here if you need a hand with any other details as you prepare for your happily ever after.
See ya real soon!
