Can i still get a magic band if i decide to NOT stay on a disney resort/hotel? I would still like to get one to use for purchases and fast pass access.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Hailey!

As a Guest staying off-site, you may buy MagicBands using your smartphone via the Shop Disney Parks app; or purchase them online at www.shopdisney.com. If you wait until arriving on-property, use the app to locate your favorite MagicBand designs. Alternatively, visit one of the MagicBand on Demand stations, at select merchandise locations.

Linking your Tickets and MagicBands via your My Disney Experience account will enable you to reserve 3 FastPass+ selections, up to 30 days in advance of each theme park visit day. That said, you will not be able to use your MagicBands for in-park purchases. At this time, there is no option to link credit cards for purchases made by Guests staying off-site. In other words, if you are staying off-property, you can only use MagicBands for park Tickets, FastPass + and Disney PhotoPass® Service.

Disney Mom Tip: Do purchase the Memory Maker in advance, and link it to your My Disney Experience account too. Then wear your MagicBands on attractions offering PhotoPass photos and videos. When you see Disney PhotoPass Photographers, ask them for Magic Shots and Animated Magic Shots.

Wishing you a most memorable vacation at Walt Disney World Resort!
