How much does a magic band cost

    Hello Thomas!

Welcome to planDisney! I love using my MagicBand when I'm in the Parks. There is just such a convenience to having right on my wrist my Park Tickets, Lightning Lane bookings, Memory Maker, and one of my favorite Walt Disney World Resort Guest perks- the ability to charge merchandise and food!

The price for a MagicBand and MagicBand+ varies as it matters when and where you buy it. Walt Disney World Resort guests can purchase MagicBand or MagicBand+ for their entire party at a discount up to 10 days before their arrival. Just visit the main Walt Disney World Resort page, click on My Disney Experience on the top right, and select "My MagicBands and Cards." Scroll down and just click on "Get Started." This works only if you have an upcoming existing reservation. It is here that you will find the discounted MagicBands starting around $15 with MagicBand+ bands starting around $35. All prices and availability are subject to change!  In addition, all kinds of  MagicBands can be purchased online at ShopDisney or many merchandise locations in the Parks. However, the discounted prices I mentioned above are only available to Resort guests before you arrive. When you are not able to pre-order prices range a little higher and some special edition ones are even close to $65. I would check every day if you are not happy with the selection as it changes quite often. My advice is, if you find something you love, buy it as it may not appear later.

A regular MagicBand lasts for about three years approximately as the battery does stop working. The MagicBand+ solves that problem by being rechargeable and is also the only band that works in Disneyland Resort as well! MagicBand+ also has some interactive elements with haptics and in-Park games such as Batuu Bounty Hunters at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge! It sure makes it an appealing option to upgrade to.

I hope this helps and let me know if you have any more questions!
