What is a magic band and what are the benefits

    Hi, Francine!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thanks for your great question. I’m really excited about all of the new technologies at the Walt Disney World Resort as a part of MyMagic+!

The MagicBand is a lightweight, rubber band worn on the wrist like a bracelet and can serve as a resort room key, theme park ticket and PhotoPass card, in addition to granting access to your FastPass+ selections. With FastPass+, Guests can schedule attractions and entertainment using the My Disney Experience website before even leaving home! This gives you the ability to reserve Disney character meet and greet experiences as well as select FastPasses for popular attractions in advance. You even have the option of using the MagicBand as a form of payment while visiting the resort. My family has used MagicBands on two vacations so far, and we all found them to be comfortable to wear and fun to use.

I hope this helps, Francine, and that you have a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World. Please feel free to ask us any other questions you may have as your planning continues.

    Wishing you magic,
