Hiya Deborah! Welcome to planDisney! I'm excited to hEAR that you will be spending your holiday at the Walt Disney World Resort next month! With so many new experiences to take part in, you are bound to have a magical time!
MagicBands are an essential item for me on park days! I love the ease of having one item that I can use for multiple uses. Not having to carry around park tickets, resort room keys, or even my wallet are all major benefits to having your own MagicBand.
Typically, if a MagicBand is not linked to a specific Guest, then you should be able to link it to any Guest using the unique code on the back of the band. To do so, log on to your
My Disney Experience account and select "My MagicBands and Cards". Scroll down to "Link a MagicBand" and select "Link". Enter the ID Number and select the Guest you want to link this MagicBand to.
If the MagicBand is already assigned to you, this most likely means that it is linked as well. When MagicBands are pre-ordered and come with your name on the back of the band, they have already been linked to your account. If this is the case, then you will not be able to transfer this MagicBand to any other Guest.
If you are experiencing a different issue, I suggest
calling the Walt Disney World Resort and speaking to a Cast Member for assistance. You can also stop by the front desk of your Disney Resorts Hotel upon arrival or at any
Guest Relations booth at the four theme parks. They will be able to take a look at the MagicBand and see if they can take care of your request.
