    Will be on the Magic in August. What kind of experiences do the people have who will be watching my kids at the kids programs? are they teachers? college students?

    Hi Justine,

    You'll love the Disney Magic...I know that my family and I do...we'll be sailing on that gorgeous ship for the fourth time this November, and we are so excited!

    Let me start by saying that the first time I was leaving my kids at the youth club onboard was the first time I left my kids ANYWHERE!  I figured I would give it a try, and I was rewarded with very happy children, and my own vacation time to enjoy with and without the kids.  The youth counselors onboard are amazing, and I can wholeheartedly recommend them to any parent.

    Each youth counselor has to have a minimum of two years (recent experience) working in a high volume, fast paced recreational/camp environment with children.  Schooling in recreation, education, or related field of study also.  In addition to this; which is only a small part of the requirements, Disney Cruise Line performs detailed background checks on every Castmember.  The cruise line also puts them through extensive training such as Orientation, Regulatory training, on the job training, Health & Safety training, and Leadership training. 

    They are wonderful Justine.  I've been on many Disney cruises and have always had positive experiences with the youth counselors.  I hope this answers your question.  If you need anything else please let me know.  Have a magical sailing!
