The Online Check-In process is always so exciting because it means you’re one step closer to your sail date! I especially love it when I’m sailing with first-time Disney cruisers, because I love showing them around the ship and knowing all the magical moments they’re about to experience! I would be happy to answer your question regarding completing the Online Check-In for both of your staterooms.
While each guest has their own
Castaway Club status (or is earning their Castaway Club Membership in the case of first-time cruisers), all guests in a stateroom will enjoy the
benefits of the guest with the highest Castaway Club status. However, this only works per stateroom. So linked staterooms cannot share Castaway Club benefits, including the date of completing their Online Check-In.
So, while you can complete your Online Check-In 35 days prior to sailing as a Gold Castaway Club Member, you won’t be able to complete the other stateroom's Online Check-In at the 35-day mark. You will need to wait until it’s their time to complete it, which is 30 days prior to sailing for
first-time Disney cruisers.
If you’re concerned about your entire group having the same
Port Arrival Time, I suggest completing the Online Check-In for both staterooms at the same time, either on or after 30 days before your sail date. This way, you can choose the same Port Arrival Time. If you’re using
Disney Cruise Line Ground Transportation, there’s no need to choose a Port Arrival Time, as one will be assigned to you.
If you're arriving at the port from the same place, such as from the same hotel or the airport,
and using Disney Cruise Line Ground Transportation together, while never guaranteed, it's very likely you'll all have the same Port Arrival Time, even if you complete your Online Check-In on different days. In my experience, while sailing with multiple linked staterooms, when we’ve used Disney Cruise Line Ground Transportation and arrived from the same place, we usually end up with the same Port Arrival Time.
