I made travel plans for a group of 6 in the MDE app, but would like to have one other person in our group have our reservations linked as a backup and to make Genie+ reservations. How can I share each person’s plans with planner #2? Does everyone need MDE?

    Hi Abigail, welcome to planDisney!

Birds fly south for the winter; magical human beings fly to Walt Disney World Resort! You'll arrive just in time to immerse yourself in the artful excellence of the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. The lineup for this year's DISNEY ON BROADWAY Concert Series does not disappoint!

Let's get technical, Abigail. I understand your My Disney Experience account is currently the hub for all of your family's vacation entitlements: admission tickets, theme park reservations, dining reservations, etc. I fully support your desire to appoint a second in command. There are two ways to make that happen:

Option 1 Planner #2 downloads the My Disney Experience mobile app on their phone and uses your My Disney Experience account login information to access everyone's plans, purchase Disney Genie+ service, book Genie+ Lightning Lane attractions for the group, etc.

Option 2 Planner #2 creates their own My Disney Experience account and connects with everyone as Family and Friends. This option requires more technical leg work but gives that person autonomy over their own Disney plans for all future trips. For this option to work, you'll need to merge that person's My Disney Experience account profile currently managed under your account with their newly created account. Do this by completing the following steps:

    1. Click "Update" next to Planner #2's name as it appears on your Family and Friends List
    2. Click "Share planning with [Planner #2]" and enter the email address associated with their newly created My Disney Experience account
    3. Once Planner #2 clicks "Accept" in the email invitation to connect, all of the vacation entitlements housed under your account will automagically transfer to their account. You will remain connected as Family and Friends, but the following steps need to occur in order for Planner #2 to be connected to the rest of your planning party:

    1. Planner #2 selects "Add a Guest" at the bottom of their Family and Friends List.
    2. Planner #2 selects "Find through my connected Guests" and all family members should appear for selection as long as the words "My List is Shared" appear by your name on your Family and Friends List, Abigail. As a general note, you can view and make plans for anyone that appears on your Family and Friends List.

Still with me? Either option gets you some much-needed assistance executing magical park days. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me directly with any follow-up questions.

    Choose magic,
