I have made several dinner reservations with a particular credit card and I would like to substitute a different credit card on My Disney Experience without fear of the reservations being cancelled. Is it possible to do that? How do I do it safely?

Hi, Richard!  Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

It really is a small world after all!  Is see that your arrival date is the same day as my family's next visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. You are going to love visiting in February.  The crowd levels and the weather are usually both very comfortable during this time of yEAR.  During your visit, be sure to check out the Epcot International Festival of the Arts and keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog to hEAR about any special Valentine's Day treats that might be available during your visit.

I would be happy to answer your question about linking a new credit card to your My Disney Experience account, as I recently had to update my own account with a new credit card number.  I opened the My Disney Experience mobile app on my phone and clicked on the three little lines in the bottom-right corner of the screen.  From there, I scrolled down and selected "My Profile."  Under "My Profile," I selected "Payment Method" and clicked on "Edit Payment Method" to enter my new credit card number.

I am the type of person who likes to plan vacations well in advance.  I typically make all of my Walt Disney World Resort dining reservations 180 days prior to arrival, so all of my reservations for my upcoming February trip were made back in August.  Updating my credit card number on My Disney Experience had no effect on my existing dining reservations.  The credit card that you have on file in your My Disney Experience account would be charged a no-show fee in the event that you miss a dining reservation.  However, with the exception of a small number of restaurants that require pre-payment, nothing is charged to your card prior to your meal.  Therefore, updating the payment method on file in your My Disney Experience account will not alter your existing dining reservations.

Wishing you a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
